We learned Thursday about a few interesting things that nearly everyone missed in the Royals’ 4-2 win over the Twins on Monday night at Kauffman Stadium.

For starters, Twins pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson at one point blew a kiss at Royals outfielder MJ Melendez. And later in the game, Woods Richardson mocked the Royals’ Kyle Isbel and paid a dear price.

Isbel bunted for a hit in Monday’s game, and as X user Jomboy noted, Woods Richardson mimed a bunting motion when Isbel came to bat later in the game. Not sure why Woods Richardson did that, but he paid the price when Isbel hit a home run.

Here is Jomboy’s breakdown of Isbel getting the better of Woods Richardson.

I asked Isbel about the bunting motion Woods Richardson made in the game and Isbel admitted that kind of thing rarely happens during a game. But Isbel kind of laughed off the whole thing, saying he thought Woods Richardson was just joking around.

Of course, Isbel was the one who got the last laugh.
