Chiefs defensive back Jaylen Watson will have some thinking to do this offseason.

The NFL last week banned the “nose wipe” celebration, which Watson has been using since joining the Chiefs ahead of the 2022 season.

This is from NBC Sports: “The NFL sent the full rules report to its 32 teams this week and included is an addition to the unsportsmanlike conduct rule. In Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1(d) the NFL has made the ‘nose wipe’ celebration illegal.

“The nose wipe is a gang sign associated with the Bloods, indicating someone is untrustworthy.”

Any NFL player who does that celebration next season will be given a 15-yard penalty.

Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb wasn’t happy to hear of the NFL’s decision. Ditto for Chiefs defensive back Jaylen Watson, who has done the “nose wipe” in the past.

“Guess I gotta go deep in my bag for new cells that’s bad,” Watson wrote in an Instagram story post. He included a thumbs-down emoji.

It’ll be interesting to see what Watson comes up for the 2025 NFL season.
