The Chiefs’ roster for Super Bowl LIX changed dramatically from the one that started the franchise’s dynasty by winning Super Bowl LIV.

Patrick Mahomes, Chris Jones, Travis Kelce, James Winchester and Harrison Butker are the only Chiefs to have played in all five Super Bowls over the past six seasons.

After winning Super Bowl LIV, the Chiefs were celebrated by the city with a parade and rally at Union Station. But the usual trip to the White House never happened because of COVID-19 pandemic closures.

That visit could be coming later this year.

President Donald Trump told Clay Travis of OurKick.com he was inviting Chiefs to a White House ceremony to celebrate their Super Bowl LIV championship. It would come after the Philadelphia Eagles visit as Super Bowl LIX winners.

“I look forward to having (the) Eagles,” Trump told Travis. “And one other thing, we’re going to have the Kansas City Chiefs after that because they missed their turn because of COVID.”

President Trump met with Patrick Mahomes’ family at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. Trump praised Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, the Current co-owner, and Randi Mahomes, Patrick’s mother.

“I love those two women,” Trump said. “They’re so great and so loyal. ... I met, as you know, I met Patrick’s mother at the game. Just before the game started, she came over.

“And Brittany, I’ve seen so much of Brittany that just, you know, being so loyal and great and beautiful. So it’s really nice.”

The Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIV team, which defeated the San Francisco 49ers 31-20, included a number of players who are no longer playing pro football. That includes defensive end Frank Clark, offensive linemen Eric Fisher, Mitchell Schwartz and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, punter Dustin Colquitt, linebacker Reggie Ragland and safety Daniel Sorensen.

Others — including receiver Tyreek Hill and safety Tyrann Mathieu — now play elsewhere.

But of the Chiefs (and former Chiefs) players who won Super Bowl LIV could come together for a reunion at the White House this year.
