The Royals confirmed what some fans had been expecting: the team will wear powder-blue jerseys and pants at every home Saturday game this season.

But in making the announcement Tuesday, the Royals threw fans a curveball. The team also will be wearing their alternative logo on caps and batting helmets.

Instead of the traditional script KC on a blue cap/helmet, the team will wear that secondary logo on a white panel amid the blue. The bill is also blue.

Here is a look at the powder-blue look and the new caps and helmets.

Things are always subject to change but the Royals are expected to wear that headwear only when in full powder blues this season.

Fans love that they’ll see the full powder-blue uniforms on a regular basis and they had thoughts about the new Royals batting helmets and caps that will be worn. Here is what was being said both in favor and against the look.
