During his 12 seasons with the Chiefs, tight end Travis Kelce has rushed just nine times.

Kelce is better known for catching the football, so that low number is to be expected.

But a carry he made last summer won Kelce an award on Monday.

Kelce swooped up girlfriend Taylor Swift during an Eras Tour concert show last summer in London, and that won an iHeart Radio Music Award on Monday for “Favorite Surprise Guest.”

Kelce was nominated twice in that particular category, which was voted on by fans on social media.

When country star Morgan Wallen played a show at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium last year, Kelce and Chiefs teammates Patrick Mahomes and Chris Jones made an appearance.

The trio of Chiefs also were nominated for Favorite Surprise Guest.

But even the presence of two star teammates wasn’t going to be enough to stop Kelce from winning this music award with his girlfriend.

Here is Kelce’s appearance at the London show.
