The grind never stops for Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino. Well, that’s what he’d have you believe anyway.

In a new video for Major League Baseball, Pasquantino went through his “grindset”* on a typical day. But what Pasquantino says he does and what the video actually shows are two entirely different things, and that’s why it is so funny.

*That’s grind and mindset, for those who didn’t know

Pasquantino attacks the day by waking up at 3 a.m. (it’s actually 8 a.m.), and he seemingly sleeps in a hyperbaric chambers. Then comes a Rocky Balboa-inspired breakfast of drinking raw eggs (but it looks more like orange juice).

There are wind sprints around the neighborhood (which looks more like him walking the dog), and then he lifts weights (a 10-pound weight in each hand).

Spring training starts this week for the Royals, and Pasquantino will be ready to go thanks to his “grindset” mentality. This video is fun.
