Chiefs’ Travis Kelce fined for actions in the AFC Championship Game against Bills
The Chiefs won the AFC Championship Game, but it cost tight end Travis Kelce a bit of money.
Kelce “was fined $11,255 by the league for unsportsmanlike conduct (taunting) in the second quarter of Sunday’s win over the Bills,” according to the NFL’s website.
The infraction took place on a touchdown run by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the second quarter of last week’s game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
That play included Kelce jawing at Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin. No flag was thrown.
That NFL story said two Bills players also were fined for their actions in the AFC Championship Game, which the Chiefs won 32-29.
Linebacker Matt Milano was fined $11,255 for unnecessary roughness (facemask) on a fourth-quarter play from last Sunday. Defensive lineman Jordan Phillips was fined $6,722 for unnecessary roughness (use of helmet) on a play in the second quarter.
