Ravens linebacker: Refs got call right when Chiefs stuffed Josh Allen on fourth-down play

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen came up short of a first down in the fourth quarter.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen came up short of a first down in the fourth quarter.

The Bills were leading by a point in the fourth quarter of the AFC Championship Game and had the ball on the Chiefs’ 41-yard line.

If Buffalo was able to convert and get points, it possibly could have upped the pressure on the Chiefs. Instead, the Chiefs defensive line stopped Bills quarterback Josh Allen for no gain. The play was reviewed and the call stood.

The Chiefs got the ball back and scored a touchdown to regain the lead. The Chiefs ended up winning 32-29 and that stop was a point of contention among fans, many who think game officials are biased toward Kansas City.

Here is the play and a few of the thousands of comments that said Allen got the first down.

One person who thinks the officials got it right: Baltimore Ravens linebacker Kyle Van Noy.

“Am I the only one that doesn’t think he got it on the QB sneak??” Van Noy wrote Wednesday on X.

Van Noy wasn’t the only one to think that way..

Saints defensive lineman Cameron Jordan agreed with Van Noy that Allen was short of a first down. Ditto for former NFL safety Eric Weddle.

Here are a few other responses from Van Noy to people on X.
