Chiefs’ Andy Reid took a moment to talk to C.J. Stroud in Arrowhead tunnel after game

Chiefs coach Andy Reid met with Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud following Saturday’s game.

The starting quarterbacks met following the Chiefs’ 27-19 win over the Texans on Saturday at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, and Patrick Mahomes had two thoughts for his counterpoint.

“We’ll see you all in the playoffs,” Mahomes told Houston’s C.J. Stroud. “We’re praying for Tank, too.”

Stroud appreciated the prayers for wide receiver Tank Dell, who suffered a serious knee injury in the game. Dell was released from a Kansas City hospital on Sunday, one day after his teammates returned to Houston, the Associated Press reported.

This was a cool postgame moment between the quarterbacks.

Another great interaction took place inside the bowels of Arrowhead Stadium. After both had changed back into their street clothes, coach Andy Reid stopped to speak with Stroud, who is in his second season in the NFL.

Vince Lovergine, the sports director at WIBW, shared video of the very end of the Reid-Stroud chat.
