Browns coaches discussed their plan to stop Chiefs offense on ‘Hard Knocks’

HBO changed up its “Hard Knocks” format this fall by choosing not to focus on one team.

Instead, “Hard Knocks: In Season With the AFC North” takes viewers into the team facilities of the Bengals, Browns, Ravens and Steelers. That allowed Chiefs fans to get a look at how a team plans to stop Patrick Mahomes and the offense in the latest episode this week.

“Hard Knocks” showed defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz and defensive line coach Jacques Cesaire discussing getting after Mahomes and making life difficult for him.

“You can’t get discouraged, we’ve got to keep rushing,” Cesaire told the team. “Keep rushing, keep hitting him, keep touching him, whatever you need to do to get in this guy’s head.”

The Browns coaches also were focused on tight end Travis Kelce and rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy.

Nick Jacobs of KSHB-TV shared a clip of the Browns defense discussing the Chiefs.

On the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, Kelce praised Schwartz: “He does a great job of making things tricky.
