Chris Jones got Amazon’s Wedgebuster sandwich but he couldn’t eat it
To hear Raiders fans’ complaints on social media, you’d have thought the NFL gifted the Chiefs a victory in the Black Friday game at Arrowhead Stadium.
But the real gift came thanks to a botched snap by Las Vegas, which resulted in a fumble that the Chiefs recovered, and that secured the 19-17 victory and a playoff spot for Kansas City.
After the game, Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones joined the Amazon Prime postgame show and talked about how he tries to lead the team.
“It’s being neutral at all times,” Jones said. “Never get too high. Never get too low. It’s never really as good as you think. It’s never really as bad as you think.”
That’s good advice for fans watching this season, too. After all the Chiefs have an 11-1 record.
After the interview, chef David Chang presented a Wedgebuster sandwich to Jones, who was chosen as the player of the game.
There was one problem: the monster sandwich had pork on it and Jones told Chang he couldn’t eat the sandwich.
Not to worry. The food didn’t go to waste as former Chiefs star Tony Gonzalez shared it with Chiefs fans.
Here is more on the sandwich and what is in it.
Jones wasn’t the only Chiefs player to receive a gift. Linebacker Nick Bolton got a custom Chiefs jacket that was made by Kristin Juszczyk.
