There’s a good chance Patrick Mahomes will be one of the many people who will be watching Friday night’s boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.

The latter found fame for his YouTube videos like “Sherlock Paul” and “The Attack of the Killer Clowns.” Paul, 27, has since become a professional boxer and he’ll face the 58-year-old Tyson.

Tyson added some intrigue to the fight with his “legacy” rant while talking Thursday with a kid interviewer. “I’m gonna die and it’s going to be over, Tyson noted in the viral video. “Who cares about legacy after that?”

The bout will be on Netflix, and the Athletic already was providing live updates of the match on Friday morning.

It’s safe to say this boxing match is on the unusual side, so perhaps it will not surprise you to hear that a “script” has been leaked about the fight (spoiler alert: It says Paul wins by knockout in the fifth round).

Ahead of the bout, Paul talked to People magazine and said his inspiration is ... Mahomes.

“It’s cliché, but there’s a reason he’s the best,” Paul told People. “He continues to win and continues to show up and be a leader.

Paul added: “He really never has off days and his focus is something that I admire.”

Who’d have guessed there would be a Patrick Mahomes angle to the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight?

There’s been quite a buzz surrounding this boxing match, so it likely will generate big viewership for Netflix. Coverage of the fight, which will take place at the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium, begins at 7 p.m. Central on Friday.
