Inclement weather is in the forecast for Monday’s Chiefs-Buccaneers game

Relief is coming to Kansas City, which is in a severe drought situation.

Rain is expected Wednesday night but, unfortunately, it could be accompanied by severe conditions.

More wet weather is in the forecast in the coming days, as well, including Monday when the Chiefs will play host to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

The good news is kickoff in the “Monday Night Football” game is still days away, but forecasters seem to agree that there could be inclement weather. Here is what meteorologist are predicting.

The National Weather Service’s forecast shows this: “Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 54. Chance of precipitation is 80%.”

AccuWeather shows an expected low of 55 degrees for Monday night and “breezy with rain and a thunderstorm” and wind gusts of up to 25 miles per hour.

The forecast at WDAF-TV (Ch. 4) predicts a low of 50 degrees with an 82% chance of rain that day.

KSHB-TV (Ch. 41) sees a low of 49 degrees with a 50% chance of rain on Monday.

The prediction for Monday from KCTV (Ch. 5) is this: “Considerable cloudiness with occasional rain showers. Low 50F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.”

KMBC-TV (Ch. 9) shared this forecast for Monday night: “A steady rain in the evening. Showers continuing late. Low 48F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70%. Rainfall near a quarter of an inch.”
