Chiefs fans will see linebacker Nick Bolton’s smiling face each time they go to the grocery store.

Bolton partnered with Old Vienna Potato Chips and Haystack Sourcing Solutions on his Honey Blaze KC Style Sweet and Spicy BBQ Potato Chips. They are being sold at Hen House, Price Chopper and Hy-Vee locations in and around Kansas City.

The chips also will be sold in Columbia, where Bolton was a star at the University of Missouri.

Bolton did more than just lend his face to the chips.

“He came up with the name, Honey Blaze, and actually helped us in developing the taste profile as well. We had a few different renditions,” said Ken Dubinsky, president of Haystack Sourcing Solutions. “We had a seasoning house that continued to tweak the seasoning until we got it just right. It’s a sweet and spicy barbecue, and he got it to where he was very happy with it.”

Bolton, who has helped the Chiefs win a pair of Super Bowl championships, is in his fourth season in the NFL. He scored a touchdown in the Chiefs’ 38-35 win over the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII and has 53 tackles this season.

“Fuel your game day with the bold flavor of my Honey Blaze Chips,” Bolton said in a news release. “Bring the heat to every tailgate.”
