Chiefs’ Andy Reid tries out funny voices in State Farm ad with Patrick Mahomes
Two years ago, Chiefs coach Andy Reid appeared in his first State Farm commercial and said it was quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ idea to cast Reid.
“Pat asked if I would do it with him and I told him, ‘I’m not very good at that stuff,’ as you guys know doing these things (news conferences),” Reid said at the time.
Fans disagreed, because Reid did a great job with that commercial as a serial mustache drawer. Reid has appeared in multiple spots since then, mostly for State Farm.
A new spot debuted during the Chiefs’ 26-13 win over the Saints on “Monday Night Football.” Reid shows an old-school play design, called the Fumblerooski (Nebraska football fans will remember that) to Mahomes.
This being a State Farm commercial, it was called a “Bundle Rooski,” and Reid got to show off his vocal range. He did some funny voices to the surprise of Mahomes and Jake From State Farm (actor Kevin Miles).
It’s a fun commercial, and you can see it here.
