Atlanta is known for fashion, and Chiefs players fit in with their pre-game style

Travis Kelce was all business when the Chiefs arrived in Atlanta.
Travis Kelce was all business when the Chiefs arrived in Atlanta.

GQ once dubbed Atlanta “one of the most exciting fashion cities to ever exist.”

Chiefs players took that to heart from the minute they arrived in Atlanta on Saturday ahead of the “Sunday Night Football” game against the Falcons.

They brought their fashion A (Atlanta) game.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes stepped off the plane Saturday with strong GQ vibes. He wore an elegant, double-breasted pinstripe suit with tonal stripes, a powder blue tie and a white, three-peak pocket square also trimmed in blue.

Fans thought it was a great look for the two-time NFL MVP.

Taylor Swift fans began clowning as soon as they saw teammate Travis Kelce right behind him.

Swift’s boyfriend strutted in all black, eyes hidden behind $435 Balenciaga square-frame sunglasses.

The tight end wore black pants and a loose, boxy, black Lemaire Double-Breasted Blazer ($1,090), according to Style By Kelce Instagram.

Swifties wanted to believe the outfit was a reference to the singer’s 2017 “Reputation” album, because she wears all-black during the Reputation segment of her monster Eras Tour.

Fans were conflicted on Kelce’s comfy-for-travel shoes — black, backless mules ($695, @FearOfGod) — with some complaining they looked like slippers.

People magazine identified his ball cap as a “vintage 1998 Zeus & Miles baseball cap that read, ‘HE GOT GAME,’ which pays homage to Spike Lee’s movie of the same name.”

Safety Justin Reid arrived in three-piece suit. Kicker Harrison Butker was in a suit, too, per usual.

Less formally, guard Trey Smith donned a “Hellstar” T-shirt and other teammates were in tees, too.

Creed Humphrey pulled out the duct tape — again — but this time wore a jacket with his special T-shirt. At this rate, he’s sure to go through a whole roll of duct tape by the end of the season.

Kelce’s Sunday addition

Arriving at Mercedes-Benz Stadium Sunday, Kelce juiced up his all-black ensemble with a black tie and switched out his airplane footwear for red Nike Air Jordan 3 Retro “Legend of the Summer” sneakers, according to Style by Kelce. (Tiny nitpick: His pants were too short for those shoes.)

The Chiefs shared a photo on X with a sly nod to Swift’s MTV Video Music Awards speech last week.

When she and Post Malone won Video of the Year for their hit song, “Fortnight,” Swift noted how Kelce applauded after every take during filming.

“Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic, so I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot,” she gushed.

Chiefs wide receivers Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice arrived in suits, too; one red, one blue.

Here are a few other photos of players.
