Donna Kelce’s role in Chiefs movie leaked in report of her second Hallmark film
Remember when Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason, got some sweet treats from their mom at Super Bowl LVII Opening Night festivities?
Donna Kelce brought her boys a special batch of homemade cookies, and they were thrilled.
Chiefs fans will get to see Kelce in the kitchen in the forthcoming Hallmark movie. “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.”
We learned that tidbit from a story in People magazine about Kelce being cast for a second Hallmark movie. This one is set in Philadelphia, where Jason Kelce used to play for the Eagles.
The People story said the movie is called “Christmas on Call” and follows “the lives of first responders in Philadelphia (who) intersect over the holiday season while juggling work, personal lives, and their dedication to protect and serve their city.”
Ser’Darius Blain stars as an Eagles fan in the movie, People said.
This made me wonder if Hallmark is planning a Christmas movie for all 32 NFL teams. When I mentioned that to a friend, this was his response: “A Los Angeles Chargers love story: Two Chargers fans attend a game in Los Angeles only to discover they’re the only people who actually care about the Chargers in the entire city.”
All jokes aside, we learned a bit more about Donna Kelce’s role in the Chiefs Hallmark movie. This is from the People story:
“In Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, which premieres Nov. 30 on Hallmark Channel, Donna plays the manager of Kansas City BBQ Restaurant Norma & Nic’s in a love story between Derrick (Tyler Hynes), the Chiefs’ Director of Fan Engagement, and Alana (Hunter King), a Chiefs superfan who becomes a finalist in the team’s ‘Fan of the Year’ contest.”
Donna Kelce, barbecue, Hallmark, Christmas and the Kansas City Chiefs? This movie is going to have something for nearly everyone.
