Cincinnati sporting goods store adorns referee mannequin with Chiefs cap, cash
The angst was real in Cincinnati on Monday.
Many Bengals fans were still upset about the Chiefs’ 26-25 victory over Cincinnati on Sunday, and they vented on multiple social media channels.
The late pass-interference call on the Bengals that extended the Chiefs’ final drive was much discussed among the “Who Dey” crowd, as fans thought the officials gifted KC a win.
And one sporting goods store in the Queen City put its frustration with the Chiefs and NFL officials on display. Koch Sporting Goods dressed a mannequin in a referee’s shirt with a Chiefs cap. It also put money on the mannequin.
“Happy Monday @Chiefs fans!” Koch wrote on X.
“@NFL @NFLCommish
“#WhoDey #Bengals”
That post generated quite a bit of conversation from both fans of the Chiefs and Bengals (and at least one other team). Here is a look at some of what was being shared on X.
