Sports anchor Aaron Ladd is heading home.

Ladd on Monday announced his departure from KSHB (Ch. 41) on Monday with a message on social media.

“Thank you, Kansas City. Yesterday was my last day with KSHB,” Ladd wrote on X. “Very grateful for the love and support you’ve shown during my 4+ years here. As I begin the next chapter of my career, I will always hold a special place in my heart for the city and the memories we created together.”

Ladd, who is a native of Stone Mountain, Georgia, will be working for a television station in Atlanta starting next week.

A 2018 graduate of the University of Missouri, Ladd was hired by KSHB in April 2020 after working for a station in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

“Favorite memory would be covering back to back Super Bowl wins,” Ladd said. “Or Mizzou’s Cotton Bowl win over Ohio State.”
