Following Sunday’s 26-25 win over the Bengals, Chiefs coach Andy Reid said further tests would be done to determine the extent of the injury to running back Isiah Pacheco.

When he left the locker room on Sunday, Pacheco was in a walking boot and crutches.

That update came Monday morning via NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport, who said on X that Pacheco “fractured his fibula based on initial tests, sources say. More information coming to determine severity and associated damage, but Pacheco is set to miss real time.”

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Pacheco will be going on injured reserve.

Chiefs fans were saddened by that news and showed their support for the third-year running back.
