For Pete's Sake

Singer-songwriter (and Bengals fan) has a new song called ‘Anybody but the Chiefs’

The Chiefs’ recent run of success has been remarkable, and just for fun, let’s run through all those accomplishments one more time.

They’ve won eight consecutive AFC West titles, had six straight AFC Championship Game berths, made four Super Bowl appearances in five seasons, winning three Lombardi Trophies.

Fans of other NFL teams have seen enough of the Chiefs’ dominance. And one has written a song about it.

Cory Breth, a singer-songwriter from Tipp City, Ohio, is a Bengals fan. And he wears a Cincy jersey in a video for his new song, which is called “Anybody But The Chiefs.”

Here are the lyrics:

Dear Chiefs, it’s me

Don’t do this again

Fifteen, with the goatee, give someone else a chance

T Kelce, king Swiftie, go focus on romance

Coach Reid, retreat, move that mustache to France

When Kansas City falls, we’ll beat our chest like Donkey Kong

We root for different teams, but I think we can agree:

Anybody But The Chiefs

That last line is repeated by Breth and other fans in the video. They are wearing the jerseys of the Bills, Dolphins, Jaguars, Broncos, Packers and other teams.

Breth wrote this in a Facebook post: “This video is taking off over on Instagram! Too fun! You never know what’s going to stick haha also, the comments are hilarious lol”

This should make Chiefs fans chuckle.

Chiefs safety Justin Reid had a great reaction after hearing the tune.
