Tight end Travis Kelce didn’t play Thursday in the Chiefs’ 34-21 loss to the Chicago Bears in a preseason game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kelce also wasn’t in Chicago for the Democratic National Convention, although CBS News’ Gayle King oddly asserted on air that he had inquired about attending.

“I was told a couple days ago that Travis Kelce also had reached out to the (Kamala) Harris campaign, when it was first announced, and said that he wanted to be on the night that she was speaking,” King said.

Others pointed out that the Chiefs had a preseason game.

“I know he has a game, but that doesn’t mean he is playing,” King said.

One person responded: “You look like you know something, Gayle.”

King was wrong, obviously, because Kelce was at Arrowhead Stadium. Kelce warmed up on the field before kickoff and was on the sideline during the game.

Here are six photos from his night from The Star’s Tammy Ljungblad and USA Today.
