It’s been quite a 24 hours for Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s acting career.

Reports surfaced Tuesday night that Kelce is in talks to appear in an action/comedy movie that will be produced by the director of the “John Wick” series. The script will be from someone who has written two Adam Sandler movies.

Not long after that story surfaced, Sandler confirmed that Kelce will have a cameo in the upcoming “Happy GIlmore” sequel.

Earlier this year, Kelce said on his “New Heights” podcast that he would love to join that project.

“I didn’t even know there was a job opening for ‘Happy Gilmore 2,’ but if there is I’ll be a (freaking) extra,” Kelce said in May. “Anything I can do to get around Happy Gilmore or an Adam Sandler film or set, count me in. Obviously been a huge fan of ‘the Sandman,’ but yes, this is exactly what it says it is: a conspiracy theory.

“Who knows? Theories can come true. Theories can be true and just people don’t know about it. So I might even be in the talking (for the film) and nobody knows about it. But I could also not be in the talking so ...”

“Happy Gilmore,” which was about a hockey player turned golfer, remains arguably Sandler’s best-known movie.

While on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon,” Sandler talked about “Happy Gilmore 2” and Kelce.

“We’re continuing to try to make it a movie that you guys will like, and I think we’re excited,” Sandler said. “So many of the golfers are being nice, and they’re going to be a part of it and all.”

Fallon said: “You told me, there’s gonna be some cameos in there.”

“There’s gonna be a lot of that,” Sandler responded.

“Do you know Travis Kelce wants to be part of this? He’s talked about it,” Fallon asked.

Kelce’s name drew cheers from the “Tonight Show” crowd.

Sandler said: “Yes, yes, yes. Travis, he mentioned it. And so we have a nice something for Travis. He’s gonna come by, and he’s cool. A very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. He’s a stud and he’s so funny.”
