Chiefs players, along with coach Andy Reid, routinely talk about how impressed they are with how well fans of the team travel to road games.

With the Chiefs coming off a second straight Super Bowl championship and going for an unprecedented three-peat in the Lombardi Trophy era, it’s no surprise to see fans travel well for Saturday’s preseason game against the Jaguars.

This was the scene before the game at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville.

Several Jaguars fans, however, were particularly unhappy to see some kids who were supporting the Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

User Johnny Machiavelli wrote on X: “I saw several Jaguars families with little kids in Mahomes jerseys, & I would just like to say I’m so glad I wasn’t one of those new age parents that let my kids make their own choice about what team to support. No. ... I pay the bills. You’ll root for the damn Jaguars.

Machiavelli’s X bio says “Mostly hyperbole,” so it’s always possible he was joking about kids cheering for the NFL’s most popular team instead of the Jags.

Others, however, were clearly displeased. This is a bit of what was being shared on X by those Jaguars supporters about kids cheering for Mahomes and the Chiefs.
