Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason, shared news in June on their New Heights podcast about a partnership with a brewery founded in Ohio

A news release said the Kelce brothers were “significant investors, partners, owners, and operators” of a company that makes Garage Beer.

Travis Kelce talked about what he likes about the beer while on the podcast.

“(Garage Beer) isn’t making a fancy slogan or trying to push you to have less calories and all that,” he said. “No, if you like good beer, this is a good beer.”

He added: “If you want to crack open a cold one, go ahead and find yourself a Garage Beer, ladies and gentlemen, and tell us what you think. Tell us what you think because I’m curious on how everybody else feels about it, because I’m pretty pumped up about it to be honest. I love it.”

Unfortunately for Chiefs fans who are 21 and older, the beer hasn’t been available in Kansas City. But that soon will change.

“Jason and Travis will be involved in every aspect of the (Garage Beer) business, including brewing, distribution, sales, marketing, and national expansion efforts,” the news release said.

That expansion will include Kansas City. Garage Beer said on social media that it would be on shelves in Kansas City on Aug. 15. That’ll just be in Missouri, but Garage Beer is planning to expand into Kansas “immediately after.”
