Andy Reid, who loves designing plays, drew up one for Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift
Tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have not been cast for Hallmark’s Chiefs Christmas movie, but their romance is certainly in the backdrop.
The celebrity couple remains a topic for interviewers when they speak with people on the Chiefs. For instance, coach Andy Reid was on the Scoop City podcast and was asked about Kelce’s relationship with Swift.
“I think it’s great for him. He can handle it,” Reid said. “As a matter of fact, I think he probably loves it to a point. I think there’s a great escape for him. I said that about Taylor, too. I mean, she comes to the game, she can kind of escape having to be the show. And Travis can do that. When he goes to her concerts, she’s the star. He can be hanging out there and be the support or the waterboy, so he can do that.”
Reid wasn’t asked about the couple this week when interviewed by Jenna Bush Hager for the “Today” show. However, he brought them up indirectly.
Bush Hager and Reid have both been cast for the forthcoming Hallmark film, “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.” Reid, who loves designing plays, drew one up using Kelce’s No. 87 and Swift’s favorite number: 13.
“Coach Reid, you’re used to coaching players on the field,” Bush Hager said. “You’re gonna coach me in this performance.”
Reid pulled out a white board and designed a special play.
“I’m going to give you this play. We’ll do it like this. No. 87 right here,” Reid said. “And then we’re gonna put 13 right there. No. 13, she’s a sweetheart. And we’re gonna ask you to run a Texas route, bust it back inside, touchdown.”
“Touchdown!” Bush Hager responded. “A Holiday Touchdown.”
The Kelce-Swift romance is never far from anyone’s mind. And Bush Hager left a note for Kelce in his locker, which was delivered by Donna Kelce (actor Tyler Hynes did the same).
