Given his remarkable résumé, it can be easy to forget that Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is only 28 years old.

So it’s no surprise that Mahomes, the three-time Super Bowl MVP and two-time NFL MVP, is excited to play the College Football 25 video game, which is being released Friday.

It’s why Mahomes brought a television to Chiefs training camp in St. Joseph, as he told reporters Tuesday. He’ll squeeze in some gaming and plans to watch the Olympics in Paris. There may not be a bigger sports fan than Mahomes, so he’ll love the Summer Games.

Mahomes, his wife, Brittany, and their two kids recently returned from a European trip and he talked about his new-found love of the Euro soccer championships.

After returning stateside, Patrick and Brittany shared the news that they are expecting a third child.

Mahomes was asked Tuesday about becoming a father again and he talked about why it was important to him to have children at a young age.

“I’m done, I’ll say that. I’ll say that. I said three and I’m done,” Mahomes said to laughter. “No, it’s awesome. I always wanted to have kids young, I got to grow up in a locker room, I’ve talked about it before, and it made such an impact in my in my life and so I wanted to have kids young. And we’re having our third kid now to join our family and Brittany does a great job of doing that and we still go on to enjoy our life and let our kids sees these great things.

“They might not be able to remember what videos of (things they’ve seen), and it is really cool because I spend so much time in the building at football for these seven, eight months and whenever I’m with my family I want to enjoy those moments.”
