The Kelce Jam music festival is returning this year and while there are few details, history suggests it could be a wild time.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, for whom the festival is named, spiked a fake Lombardi Trophy after drinking a beer off it at last year’s Kelce Jam. Machine Gun Kelly headlined that show and Tech N9ne and Rick Ross also played.

Kelce Jam was held at Azura Amphitheater in Bonner Springs during last year’s NFL Draft. This year’s version has only a date: May 18.

However, there are no shows scheduled at Azura for the month of May, so it seems Kelce Jam could be returning to that venue.

No musical artists have been announced for this year’s show, but this message is on the Kelce Jam website: “3X Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce is bringing his iconic personality to life with the second annual Kelce Jam — one of the most exciting entertainment events in the history of Kansas City.

“With entertainment, music, food, and fun personally curated by Travis, Kelce Jam will be a 20,000+ person music festival and the perfect way for all of Chiefs Kingdom to continue celebrating their 2024 Super Bowl victory!”

While we don’t know which musical artists will be playing at Kelce Jam, there’s one we know who won’t be there. Kelce’s girlfriend, superstar singer Taylor Swift, will be in Stockholm, Sweden that day on her Eras Tour.

Kelce said last year he always wanted to throw a party for Kansas City, and now he’s doing it again.

“We wanted to make it a festival for everybody,” Kelce said before last year’s event. “So we’re going to have a lot of fun attractions, a lot of football games. A lot of Kansas City’s favorite foods are gonna be there. And I really wanted to make this something that’s kind of Kansas City’s own and make it just fun for everybody to be able to come out and enjoy a music festival together.”
