Travis Kelce hilariously struggled through Garth Brooks song at Chiefs celebration
It’s a tradition unlike any other in Kansas City.
When the Chiefs win the Super Bowl — something they’ve done three times in the past five years — Travis Kelce usually delivers an epic speech at the championship celebration at Union Station.
The Chiefs’ brass was expecting it Wednesday as the team celebrated its 25-22 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.
“You know that as soon as Travis Kelce gets hold of this mic, this thing is going to a whole new level,” Chiefs chairman/CEO Clark Hunt said before Kelce came out.
General manager Brett Veach added: “Travis is like a cat in a cage back there. He’s getting ready to blow the top off the World War I museum.”
The top stayed on as Kelce poked fun at the 49ers by changing the lyrics to the Garth Brooks song, “Friends In Low Places.”
Let’s just say it wasn’t the best rendition you’ll ever hear but it kind of sounded like something at the end of a karaoke night.
