Chiefs fan Brad Pitt roasted Eagles fan Bradley Cooper at a film festival
We know what actor Brad Pitt will be doing on Sunday.
Pitt, who grew up in Springfield, Missouri, is one of the many A-list celebrities who support the Chiefs. After the Chiefs advanced to Super Bowl LIV in 2020, Pitt celebrated while at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Take a look:
On Thursday, Pitt was at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, where he was presenting the Outstanding Performer award to actor Bradley Cooper.
Pitt is a noted prankster and he took the opportunity for a bit of sports trash-talking. Certainly Pitt knows Cooper is a big Eagles fan. How much does Cooper love the Eagles? He told an interviewer that he would rather see Philly win a Super Bowl than him take home an Oscar.
The Eagles came close last year, but the Chiefs won 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII, a fact Pitt sneaked into this introduction.
Cooper’s latest movie, “Maestro” is nominated for seven Academy Awards and he is up for three individual Oscars.
“To date he’s been nominated 12 times ... and I do hope that this is his year because it’s well overdue,” Pitt said. “But if it’s not, it’s OK. Everyone knows it’s just a matter of time.
“And truly Brad is OK, he’s fine. He’s used to it. He’s a Philadelphia Eagles fan. Go Chiefs! Go Chiefs!”
It’s a safe bet that Pitt will be watching Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday and hoping the Chiefs can win another championship.
