Chiefs’ Rashee Rice cracked up while watching Andy Reid’s Punt, Pass & Kick video

The Chiefs players will be taking part in the Super Bowl Opening Night media show on Monday, and who knows what will come from those festivities?

It’s a time for oddball questions, game playing and people in costumes. Ahead of Super Bowl LIV, someone dressed up as 13-year-old Andy Reid at a Punt, Pass and Kick competition in Los Angeles. That included having Reid’s name spelled wrong on the back of his Rams jersey.

Video of a teenage Reid in the event has become the stuff of legends because Reid towered over younger kids.

“For a 12 or 13-year-old kid, it was pretty exciting,” Reid told reporters in 2021. “I didn’t know it was being filmed, just know that. That one was snuck on me a little bit. But there weren’t a lot of 13-year-olds doing that at that time that I knew, other than the guys in the competition. It was fun.”

That Punt, Pass and Kick competition took place during halftime of a Rams-Washington game on “Monday Night Football” in 1971. That’s why the video exists.

As it preps for coverage of Super Bowl LVIII, CBS Sports showed the clip to Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice and his reaction was priceless. Rice didn’t believe it was Reid and couldn’t stop laughing.

This is a funny video.

One can’t help but wonder if Rice will ask Reid about it.
