On Christmas Day, the Chiefs lost to the Raiders 20-14 and missed a chance to clinch the AFC West title.

At that time, there was a chance the Denver Broncos could win the division.

Exactly five weeks later, things are much different because the Chiefs woke up Monday morning as AFC champions. Again.

The Chiefs players are headed to Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, and many of them shared messages on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram to celebrate.

Here is a look.

Patrick Mahomes shared a clip from the movie, “The Hangover,” which is based in Las Vegas.

On Instagram, Mahomes posted a photo of himself in an AFC champions cap.

Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed tipped his cap to the Ravens following the win.

Chiefs safety Justin Reid is keenly aware of the next game.

Guard Trey Smith noted the Chiefs had won in M&T Bank Stadium. The key word being bank.

Center Creed Humphrey posted a black-and-white photo to his Instagram account with this message, “There’s always a bigger, more bad ass villain. On to Vegas.”

Linebacker Drue Tranquill shared this on X about the Chiefs’ doubters.

Offensive tackle Donovan Smith wrote a message to Chiefs fans.

Defensive lineman Charles Omenihu posed with the Lamar Hunt Trophy.

Safety Mike Edwards posted this on X.

Receiver/punt returner Richie James shared this.

A pair of former Chiefs shared their thoughts on the victory, too.
