The AFC Championship Game was first held in 1971 but the Chiefs played in the title game just once in the first 48 years.

But on Sunday, they’ll be playing in the AFC Championship Game for the sixth year in a row and making their seventh appearance in the conference title matchup.

The Chiefs had played five straight AFC Championship Games at home, but on Sunday they’ll be at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

Embracing the role as an away team is the focus of a hype video the Chiefs released Saturday.

“These games are rare. For some, they never come,” the narrator says. “But now we get to take this show on the road less traveled. And the next step is bringing the Lamar Hunt Trophy back home.“

Here is the video from the Chiefs, who were founded by Lamar Hunt.
