Frank Clark’s 2023 stats are simply this: eight tackles.

After leaving the Chiefs as a free agent following last season, he inked a deal with the Denver Broncos but appeared in just two games. The Broncos released him in October and he signed with the Seattle Seahawks after six games.

Clark’s time with the Seahawks came to an end Saturday when he was released. That NFL transaction caught the attention of Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones.

“Bring Frank Clark back I need my brother for this playoffs run,” Jones wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Clark, 30, may have played sparingly this season, but he was a standout in the playoffs for the Chiefs from 2019-’22. He had 10 1/2 sacks in 12 postseason games and helped the Chiefs win a pair of Super Bowls.

This isn’t the first time Jones has made a plea for the Chiefs to bring back Clark. When it was clear the Broncos were planning to part ways with Clark, Jones said he hoped the Chiefs would make a trade with their AFC West division rival.

That obviously didn’t happen, and the Chiefs didn’t sign Clark after he was released, so Jones’ desire to have his friend back in the locker room for the playoffs is probably a long shot.
