Things got heated on the field and on the Chiefs sideline during Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Following a 1-yard touchdown run by Bengals quarterback Jake Browning that gave Cincinnati a 17-7 lead in the second quarter, Chiefs defensive players were clearly unhappy with one another.

Cameras caught Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay Jr. yelling at someone. Gay got off the bench and appeared ready to approach a teammate when Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton stepped in and stopped Gay.

Later, Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones went and spoke to Gay. CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson reported that Gay was arguing with Chiefs defensive lineman Charles Omenihu.

Here is the video of a visibly upset Gay on the Chiefs sideline from CBS Sports.

Gay later came up with a huge stop when the Bengals went for it on 4th-and-1 from the Chiefs’ 6-yard line in the third quarter. Gay stuffed Joe Mixon for a 3-yard loss.
