The Russell Wilson Era apparently has come to an end in Denver, as the Broncos reportedly will bench him for the final two weeks of the season.

Denver’s decision likely won’t have a big impact on its playoff hopes, as the 7-8 Broncos have just a 6% chance of making the postseason and 2% chance of winning the AFC West.

That’s according to the New York Times’ playoff projections, which show the Chiefs have a 97% chance of winning the division and a 98% shot at the playoffs.

Should the Broncos, who will start quarterback Jarrett Stidham on Sunday, lose to the Chargers, the Chiefs’ chances of winning the West tick up to 99%, per the Times’ projection.

It’s possible the Broncos’ change at quarterback could benefit the Chiefs this weekend. Denver’s game and the 7-8 Raiders’ contest against the Colts may affect the Chiefs’ postseason chances.

But the Chiefs would much rather take the direct route to the playoffs:

Win against the Bengals and they’re in.

Here are the ways the Chiefs could clinch an eighth straight AFC West title on Sunday, and you know the playoffs are near when we’re talking about potential ties.

  1. Chiefs win
  2. Chiefs tie
  3. Raiders and Broncos lose
  4. Raiders and Broncos tie
  5. Raiders lose and Broncos tie
  6. Raiders tie and Broncos lose
