With four weeks left in the NFL’s regular season, there’s a good chance that Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce could face scrutiny.

For his party planning.

The celebrity gossip websites have been aflutter with speculation about what Kelce might have planned for girlfriend Taylor Swift’s birthday. Swift, the superstar singer, turned 34 on Wednesday, and Kelce is planning a big bash.

That’s according to US Weekly, which said Kelce would have the party in New York, and you can bet there will be much written about the gathering when it takes place.

The New York Post said Kelce had planned a romantic dinner, too. Kelce received unsolicited advice on where that should take place. These are funny suggestions.

Chili’s restaurant shared this message on X (née Twitter).

Here’s guessing Kelce will spring for something a little more fancy than the 3 for Me value meal, which starts at $10.99.

Q39 has two locations in the Kansas City area and thought Kelce should bring Swift in for a meal (perhaps a burnt end burger).

KFC chimed in with this on X...

We already know Kelce likes KFC based on his Thanksgiving plans.

Politicians joined in the fun, too. Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker suggested Portillo’s, which is a beloved chain in and around Chicago. A dipped Italian Beef sandwich with peppers is a great choice.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz thought Kelce should jet up north and take Swift to Matt’s Bar & Grill and get the signature item on the menu.

The state of New Jersey believed Wawa, the convenience store chain on the East Coast, would be the way to go.

How about a camping trip? That seemed right to the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation.

I have friends who love to go to P.F. Chang’s for a special occasion. Just not at the Tampa International Airport.

While Kelce is on X, here’s guessing he ignored every single one of those suggestions.
