For Pete's Sake

Part of the ceiling fell during Chris Jones’ news conference after Chiefs game

Some saw it as a metaphor for the season, while others thought this was proof the Chiefs need a new stadium.

But Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones simply used it as an excuse to end his postgame news conference.

After the Chiefs’ 20-17 loss to the Bills, Jones was answering questions in the Chiefs’ media room at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium when the ceiling fell.

Literally.

Well, at least part of it did.

Steven St. John of WHB (810 AM) shared video of the moment and, fortunately, it appeared no one was injured.

This is the second odd postgame moment this season at Arrowhead Stadium, which opened in 1972. Following the Chiefs’ 19-8 win over the Broncos in October, kicker Harrison Butker took note of water leaking in the media room.

Here are some of the things fans were saying about the falling ceiling on Sunday.
