Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce, shined a light on a local restaurant in the latest episode of their “New Heights” podcast.

They did so after being alerted to a sandwich named for their podcast that is being sold at Grill 32 in Edwardsville.

This is the description of the New Heights Club from Grill 32’s website: “(On Top) Steak, Onions, Bell Peppers, Provolone Cheese, Cheese Sauce, 32 Sauce. (On Bottom) Turkey or Ham, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato. American Cheese, Mayo, BBQ Sauce, Stacked on Texas Toast. Inspired by Travis Kelce.”

The cost is $17.95

Grill 32 is located off, you guessed it, Kansas 32 in Edwardsville.

The brothers liked how the sandwich combined signature dishes from the cities in which they play.

“It looks good,” Travis Kelce said. “It’s blending a Philly cheesesteak and some KC barbecue.”

Jason added: “Sounds like a good combination.”

Travis said: “So yeah, this thing looks like lunch and dinner all in one sandwich.”

The brothers then got into a spirited debate about mayonnaise. Travis can’t stand the stuff.

“You can make it sound disgusting as much as you want,” Jason said. “Mayonnaise is delicious, Travis.”

The Chiefs star replied: “It’s so disgusting.”

“You’re very clearly in the minority of this worldwide,” Jason countered. “I’m glad we’re (the podcast) in 134 different countries so they can see how weird it is that you don’t like mayonnaise.”

Here’s guessing Travis could get the sandwich without mayo if he asked nicely. Either way, Kelce was touched that he had inspired the New Heights Club sandwich.

“Thank you Grill 32,” Travis said. “I might have to stop by.”
