It’s rare for a player to rip an 84-yard punt return and have it be the second-most impressive performance on the play.

But that’s what happened Saturday during the Big Ten championship game in Indianapolis when Michigan’s Semaj Morgan had a long return against Iowa.

Morgan did a great job of eluding a pair of Hawkeyes after fielding the punt, as he juked past them and then turned on the jets. But one of those Iowa players, redshirt freshman Koen Entringer, ended up wowing viewers.

Entringer dived and missed Morgan after the punt was fielded. That may have been enough for most players to give up on the play, but Entringer bounced to his feet and immediately gave chase.

Remarkably, Entringer ended up making a touchdown-saving tackle short of the end zone. This came after he sprinted 50 yards on punt coverage and then ran more than 90 yards to knock Morgan out of bounds.

Entringer didn’t run in a straight line, as he had to maneuver from the middle of the field to the sideline, so he ran at least 150 yards.

Michigan scored a touchdown shortly after the tackle and Iowa got spanked in the game, but this was still an incredible play by Entringer.
