In the latest episode of the “New Heights” podcast, the Kelce brothers discussed a letter from a fan who said he was heading to Kansas City for the “Monday Night Football” game.

And he wanted suggestions of what to do during his 48 hours in Kansas City.

“We are known as the city of fountains,” Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said. “That’s right, we have more fountains than the city of Rome, believe it or not, so definitely keep an eye out for all the beautiful fountains throughout the city.”

Kelce’s favorite: the fountain in Mill Creek Park at the Plaza.

Jason Kelce chimed in and said: “I was gonna say go check out some barbecue. I think that’s like the standard thing. ... I’d put the barbecue before the fountains.”

Travis then named some of his favorite spots: Gates, Arthur Bryant’s, Slap’s, Q39, Jack Stack and Joe’s Kansas City.

Jason Kelce said: “Joe’s. That’s the one right there.”

Travis helpfully added: “Anywhere that you see a barbecue sign, just go ahead and just go in the door and get you a little taste test.”

“You really can’t go wrong,” Jason correctly noted.

Jason added: “I will say there’s just something about the Joe’s in the gas station.”

Travis said: “It’s so authentic man. Yeah, I don’t even know if you can pump gas at that gas station anymore.”

“Who cares?” Jason responded. “The visual, the people there. It’s good.”

Donna Kelce thinks so, too. Mama Kelce stopped at Joe’s last month while in town for a Chiefs game.

Travis then added that the arts scene in Kansas City is something he enjoys.

“I always thought that was a very cool part of Kansas City and not really heard about as much,” he said. “Everything going on in the Crossroads. There’s a big music scene out here.”
