Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes on how he scores those great seats at Mavericks games
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes traveled to Texas during the Chiefs’ bye week and took in a Dallas Mavericks game last Wednesday.
Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, each received a Luka Dončić jerseys from the Mavericks’ mascot and the couple was featured on the American Airlines Center scoreboard.
As you may have noticed, Mahomes had great seats for the game as he was courtside.
During his weekly chat on KCSP (610 AM), Mahomes was asked Monday how he gets those great tickets for a Mavericks game.
“I mean, there’s no way that I can really say this other than I text Mark Cuban most times, and I get the tickets from him,” Mahomes said.
Yep, Mahomes goes straight to the top and contacts Cuban, the Mavericks owner.
“I’ve gone to a lot of games and stuff like that and kind of built a relationship with him and Luca and some of those guys, Tim Hardaway (Jr.), A.J. (Lawson),” Mahomes said. “I have the right connections in the Dallas organization to get tickets.”
Mahomes and Cuban also met at last week’s game, and cameras caught the interaction. It looked like two friends catching up on things.
Chiefs fans also will like hearing the Toronto Raptors broadcaster note that while he’s a Bills fan, he will always have respect for Mahomes.
