Chiefs’ Travis Kelce, Mecole Hardman quibbled over Tyreek Hill’s jersey after game
Although the Dolphins lost 21-14 to the Chiefs on Sunday in Frankfurt, Germany, Miami wide receiver Tyreek Hill told reporters he had fun playing against his former teammates.
Hill, who was drafted by the Chiefs and played in Kansas City from 2016-’21, is still friends with many of those Kansas City players.
After Sunday’s game, Hill greeted Chiefs players, including some who were on the Super Bowl LIV championship team. A mic’d-up video from NFL Films captured Chiefs safety Justin Reid talking with Hill, who praised the defense’s gameplan against him.
A fun part of the video involved Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and wide receiver Mecole Hardman briefly quibbling over who would get Hill’s jersey (Hardman also joked that Hill was getting old).
It seems that both had their heart set on getting the keepsake. It was never contentious, and Kelce and Hardman reached an agreement on how to proceed. Here is the video, which was shared by the NFL on X (née Twitter).
Hill reposted the video and wrote: “Always all love wish my brothers the best of luck the rest of way.”
