Royals are a cosponsor of free community event at Urban Youth Academy on Saturday
It might be a little blustery for softball on Saturday, but a tournament is planned at the Urban Youth Academy.
As part of Fall Bash 2023, the Heartland Black Chamber of Commerce will be host of the tournament.
Even if you’re not interested in watching the games, there will be other activities at the event, which is sponsored by the Royals, the Urban Youth Academy and the Heartland Black Chamber of Commerce.
Fall Bash will be held from noon until 3 p.m., regardless of the weather.
“This family fun event is a chance for people of all ages to come together to have a great time and access resources they may need to better their lives,” the Royals said in a news release.
There will be a Halloween trunk or treat for kids, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, bounce houses and free food boxes from Harvesters, the Royals said.
Flu shots will be available, along with free hygiene bags, the Royals added, and food trucks will be on site.
The Urban Youth Academy is located at 1622 East 17th Terrace in Kansas City.
