Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was ready to pounce like a cat late in the first half of the 31-17 win Sunday over the Chargers.

However, Mahomes wasn’t called upon to recover a fumble because tight end Travis Kelce maintained control of the ball despite being in the middle of a mass of humanity pushing him in two directions.

Kelce scored on a 1-yard touchdown catch, although he was at the bottom of a pile of players when he reached the end zone. When it became apparent to Kelce that he had scored a touchdown, he let out a laugh, as mic’d-up video from Sunday’s game shows.

This is a fun look at that touchdown reception.

NFL Films also showed the ongoing conversation between Kelce and Chargers safety Derwin James during Sunday’s game.

At one point, Kelce began barking like a dog after a big play for the Chiefs.

That was an interesting look at what is said between players during a game, and hopefully we’ll see more of that in the future.
