The Chiefs’ defense was sensational again Thursday night, as the unit kept the Broncos off the scoreboard until the fourth quarter and allowed just one touchdown.

Kansas City’s defense has allowed an average of 14.7 points per game, the second fewest in the NFL.

And although they’ve played one more game than nearly every other NFL team, the Chiefs have the most quarterback pressures (64) in the league. And they’ll be adding another pass rusher to the mix for a Week 7 matchup against the Chargers.

Defensive lineman Charles Omenihu, who signed a two-year contract with the Chiefs in the offseason, will be making his Chiefs debut on Oct. 22. He had missed the first six games while serving an NFL suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Omenihu has been cheering on the Chiefs during their first six games, albeit on X (née Twitter). After the Chiefs’ win over the Broncos, Omenihu shared another message on social media about being allowed to return to the Chiefs’ active roster Friday.

“God did…Kept trusting. My faith hasn’t been any stronger. 90 is back,” he wrote while including a photo from a preseason game against the Cleveland Browns.

On Friday, Omenihu shared another X message, this one with a single number: 9. Presumably, that’s about the number of days until he can play his first game with the Chiefs.
