Running back Isiah Pacheco was clearly excited to be back in his home state of New Jersey on Sunday night, and it showed in the Chiefs’ 23-20 win over the Jets.

Pacheco, who grew up in New Jersey, rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown in 20 carries at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. He also caught three passes for 43 yards.

“It was an amazing experience,” Pacheco said in an interview on NBC after the game. “Couldn’t have been more proud to do it with my teammates and getting a victory with all my guys.”

Pacheco’s stat line could have been better, but he wisely stopped on a fourth-quarter run and made sure he didn’t go out of bounds.

Pacheco received a game ball, apparently from NBC Sports.

Here’s what Chiefs fans were saying about Pacheco on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook.

A Facebook user wrote: “Pacheco was amazing tonight”

Another shared this: “Pacheco was super fun to watch!!!! Awesome game!!!”

On Facebook, a fan wrote: “Love how Pacheco runs angry!”

Another shared this: “Have a DAY, Pacheco! That was awesome to see! Learn from this one and come out ready for the Vikings next week. Let’s go Chiefs!!”
