Chris Jones returned to Kansas City on Wednesday for an event at Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Although Jones has been staying in Miami, where he’s been working out in preparation for the 2023 season, he is still holding out as he seeks a new contract from the Chiefs.

Jones didn’t play in Thursday night’s opener against the Detroit Lions. But he was at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium to watch the game and see the Super Bowl LVII banner unveiling.

NBC Sports cameras caught Jones sitting between his agents, Jason and Michael Katz, and at one point Jones waved at fans.

Dana Wright of KMBZ Radio shared the reaction from fans where she watching the game.

Jones’ presence at Arrowhead led to a lot of chatter on X (nee Twitter). Here is a small sample of what those fans were saying.
