For Pete's Sake

The Chiefs cheerleaders received their Super Bowl LVII rings at a special ceremony

Chiefs chairman and CEO Clark Hunt was at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Wednesday for a special ceremony.

The red carpet was rolled out and the Lombardi Trophy was on display.

There were no football players on hand, however. This was a celebration to honor the Chiefs cheerleaders, who received their Super Bowl LVII rings.

Hunt spoke to the squad and before the cheerleaders could open the boxes that contained their rings, they had to count down to zero. That was so everyone saw the jewelry at the same time.

There were smiles (and screams of joy) all around as the cheerleaders tried on the special keepsake.

“We are beyond grateful for the Hunt Family,” Chiefs Cheer wrote on Instagram. “We had the most incredible night celebrating our Super Bowl LVII victory and receiving our jewelry.”

Here are some photos and a video that were shared on Instagram by the Chiefs cheerleaders.

Hunt’s wife, Tavia, wrote on Instagram: “To the Chiefs cheerleaders, we toast your steadfast dedication, your infectious enthusiasm, and the countless hours of practice that went into perfecting your craft. Your unwavering support on the sidelines gave our team the strength to push forward and conquer the biggest stage of all.

“You are a force to be reckoned with, both on and off the field. May your spirit continue to shine bright, lighting the way for future triumphs. Cheers to you, and God bless you, our beloved Chiefs cheerleaders!”
