Sunglasses maker Oakley on Monday announced a new campaign with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

It’s called “Move The Game Forward,” and it’s part of Mahomes’ new “Signature Series collection” with Oakley.

“I am thrilled to collaborate with Oakley on an inspiring campaign and Signature Series collection ahead of this season’s kick-off,” Mahomes said in a news release. “My commitment to moving the game forward aligns perfectly with Oakley’s mission to push boundaries and create innovative products, all while inspiring the next generation. I feel honored to be part of Team Oakley where I can continue motivating the future of the game.”

Oakley said this is the fourth installment of Mahomes’ Signature Series collection with the company. It will include new versions of its BXTR and Resistor eyewear.

Oakley explained the meaning of the ad.

“With a strong emphasis on Mahomes’ growth, tenacity and passion, the new campaign video features the MVP inspiring the youth athlete community and truly embodying what it means to Move The Game Forward,” Oakley wrote in a news release. “Mahomes’ mental toughness is a cornerstone of his character that he consistently exemplifies not only on the field but also throughout every facet of his life as a mentor, father and role model.“

Mahomes was the first NFL athlete to sign an endorsement deal with Oakley, according to 1Up Sports Marketing. That was part of Oakley launching its partnership with the NFL, 1UP said.
